Allison Contemplates Ditching Her Training Wheels

Now that she is riding her bike a lot, Allison is getting ready to get rid of her training wheels. We went out one weekend in late February for a practice without them.


Big Sister was there for moral support.


Henry and Allison win ESLR Awards for Knowledge at the SCIS Assembly

Awards are given to 1 to 3 kids per class every two week period, on different themes. Allison and Henry both got ESLR Awards for Knowledge.

Shanghai World Expo Mascot Unveiled

For those of you who need a reason other than our being here to come to Shanghai, the World Expo will take place here in 2010! The mascot was unveiled last month. Here is Haibao who is on display in Xintiandi. This was the view from my yoga studio.

Allison's Dance Class



The girls are continuing to enjoy their new dance classes and are looking great! I got some photos of Allison's class.

I went to a meeting at the other American School, the Shanghai American School, which is far from all of the developed areas. It's a huge school, spanning preschool through grade 12 and there are 6 classes in many of the grades. This is the road leading up to the school!

Pastries for Breakfast

Every Thursday the kids get fresh pastries for breakfast at the on-site Farmer's Market. Here they are in the coffee shop eating them with Lily Beth.

Way Behind on Posts, Eric's Compuer was Unavailable!

At the end of February, Allison and I spent a day in the city. We had lunch at the JW Marriot Hotel. We went to People's Square and the Shanghai Museum.
